AMCC’s 3ware® Sidecar is an external RAID solution which expands the storage capacity of PC workstations and the Apple Mac Pro and Power Mac G5 with advanced PCI Express architecture. The 3ware Sidecar is the only storage choice for the desktop when capacity, performance, data protection, and ease of use are the goals.

includes a high performance 4-port low profile PCI Express to 3Gb SATA II RAID controller, a 4-bay desktop enclosure, and a Multi-lane high bandwidth SATA cable. The easily configurable RAID controller teamed with an intuitive management suite and Multi-lane connectivity make the 3ware Sidecar as easy to use as 1-2-3.
